/About Us

We've been on both sides of the front desk.

We came to healthcare as patients first, then as operators running our own practice. What we lived through in both roles is why Shasta exists.

/Our story

From the waiting room to the clinic floor.

I entered healthcare when people I love became critically sick. Overnight I was managing referrals, coverage questions, and endless phone trees, and I learned how much of getting care is spent fighting the process instead of getting better.

That experience pushed me to the clinical side. I started my own physical therapy practice and ran its operations end to end: scheduling, eligibility, authorizations, claims. The same bureaucracy that had worn my family down was burying the providers too.

Shasta is how we fight back. It's a platform for running a modern practice, with AI agents that take on the mounting admin burden from insurance companies. We're backed by leading investors like Y Combinator and Goodwater Capital.

/What we believe

Patients before paperwork

Care should be about the person in the room. Every hour of admin work we take off a clinic's plate goes back to treating patients.

Operators, not observers

We've done the eligibility checks, the phone calls, and the follow-ups ourselves. We build for the person actually doing the work.

Build, don't accept

We'd rather write software than accept a broken system. When something doesn't work, we build our way out.
